This is my fabric postcard I made for the Popular Patchwork Postcard Swap Earliest Memories theme
I attended the Loreto Convent in Mombasa from 1951 - 1955 and in the grounds was an enormous tree (well to a 5 year old it would look enormous!!) and equally enormous was a bell that was rung everyday at midday. I can still see it now as though it was yesterday.

A Long Life
Today was the funeral of Auntie Audrey. I had cared for her for a few years until her dementia got worse and she had to go into a residential home last year. We had to obtain Court of Protection for her so that we could look after her finances and care. She was such a lovely lady, full of fun and laughter. I arranged her funeral and wake along with my husband (she was his aunt).
In July my Mum died and I organised her funeral too. Mum and Auntie knew each other and had spent happy days with us going to all sorts of places. The last 3 months have been quite emotional and overwhelming.
My Mum, Joyce.

Last week I was in Switzerland childminding my grandchildren. We had a very busy week going up and down mountains on buses and trains. One day we went on a walk from the house to the next village. The temperature was 30 degrees. On the way we saw these....
...............and ended up at a tea room and had this............
...Oh so yummy!!
I'll be back later to put up some photos...
