I've finally completed my first Super Sample for assessment - Edges and Finishes.   I'm pleased with the result.  Now I have to prepare for the next one Texture and have my plan ready for tomorrow!!

Edges & Finishes WIP

Well I'm at the stage of my Stitched Textiles course where we are doing our Super Samples for assessment later in the year.  Since September last year it has been pretty intense with painting, dying, making marks and patterns, making printing blocks and stitching.  All this stuff goes into the Design sketchbook.  The stitched samples go into a samples sketchbook.  The Super Samples for assessment have to be displayed for show - so I need to get an A3 sketchbook with black pages (I prefer black as it makes the samples stand out).

Here is a work in progress of my first Super Sample which is Edges & Finishes.  I still have to embellish it - photo of that will come later.

Blast Off!!

Here's the fabric postcard I sent to Maggi.  I transfered a photo to fabric, hot foiled some of the white spots and then used irridescent glitter glue to highlight all the fireworks.

New Swap

I've joined a new Name Game Swap here and only involves a mini quilt with your swap partner's name on it.  So looking forward to this.

The only thing I've made that had a name on it was a postcard size name for my Mum's walking frame when she was in the care home.
